Canonized on September 7, 2025, St. Carlo Acutis is the youngest saint of the Church, born in 1991 and died of leukemia in 2006. He was an extremely good-natured, fervently religious young man and an active online evangelist. He became famous for striving on his own to receive Holy Communion sooner and, despite his young age, creating websites about Eucharistic miracles and Catholic saints. As a high school student, he attended Mass every day and went to confession every week. He was very eager to help those in need.
After his death, the miracle of the healing of Valeria Vargas Valverde through his intercession opened the way to sainthood for him.
Acutis is called the “patron saint of the Internet,” “divine influencer,” and “first saint of the millennial generation.”
