"Memento Mori" is Latin for: "Remember about death" or "Remember that you will die". It is an old Latin motto, which task is to remind us that in any hour we may leave this world, and so, we should be ready for it (go to confession!). It is also spoken during Ashen Wednesday, as the priest is putting ash on faithfuls head.
